Two beauty contestants lost their lives when a strong wave hit a photo shoot on the Oasis beach in Cape Coast, Ghana last Thursday.
The deceased are part of a group of girls who participated in a Face of University of Ghana beauty contest. They were stopped on rocks for a photo shoot when the wave hit.
According to Prime News Ghana, the two victims were identified as Sara Kwarteng and Lily Ampofowaa Asiedu, respectively of University of Education, Mampong Campus and University of Ghana, Legon.
Sources indicate that Lily’s body was found and confirmed dead in a hospital but Sara’s body has still not been found.

The Director of Public Affairs at the University of Cape Coast, Major Bahad Bentum, said that the girls who participated in the "FACE OF USAG" contest were part of a group of students who attended the annual conference of the Student Association at the University of Cape Coast. The parents of the deceased have since been informed.
